Of course 😀 That’s why I am using your plugin @champsupertramp! 😉
So you want to say me this is not possible? I am sure that I saw this many times on different homepages. But I already figured out if I restrict the post individual by activating the checkbox and choose “logged-in users” I can link to this post. But the problem then is that I cannot enter the login form in the Restricted Access Message. So I have to redirect to the login page which make impossible to redirect to the post, which the user clicked in Facebook and Co. Now he/she has to navigate to the wished post again.
This is not userfriendly and has nothing to do with user experience. If you could make it possible that you can use your UM forms in this restricted message box, it would be fine. Then you would have a smart solution.
For now, I said my customer he should create a post, non restricted (so free for everyone), share it in his social network profiles and restrict it afterwards. Which is also not friendly to maintain but at the moment apparently the only way to make it possible.
PLEASE WORK ON THIS!
Best regards
ChristianExactly @sixtus78, Thank you for your comment.
And @champsupertramp the translation itself are working! This is not the question.
The question is how UM know or chose the translation. I think I already know, at least I am almost sure, that it is the website language (and then if a language pack is there or not) but this is not really good. Because so, you only can set up one language and not user specific. But maybe this is not what UM want. Then this discussion is senseless.
But in our eyes, UM should use the language which are set up in the USER settings individual. Then check if there is the specific language pack exists or not and show it if it is.
Best regards
Hi there,
thanks for your answer. For me it makes sense to disable the UM SEO, cause I already using YOAST SEO for SEO.
I did what you said –> added it to my functions.php of the child theme. Additionally, I deleted the cache. But it doesn’t change anything.
One more information for you: The og:url which will send out from the share function is correct (<meta property=”og:url” content=”https://glocalist.press/umweltkapitalismus-das-israelische-cleantech-unternehmen-blitz-motors-schliest-auftrag-uber-450-elektrische-lieferroller-fur-dominos-pizza-israel-ab/” />).
In Facebook debugger it is the fetched URL. But the canonical then is the https://glocalist.press/login/.
If you want to see it in detail, please register shortly on our page and try to share it. You can delete your account afterwards again of course 🙂
But as I said, I think we are on the right way. Maybe I have to do one small step, which is missed?
Best regards,
ChristianIf I have 100 user, 20% English, 20% German, 20% Italian, …
Then every user should get his own language (if translated of course). This is how a membership should work 🙂
Yes, that’s also my impression and this is a wrong behaviour in my eyes. The USER LANGUAGE should be the language which should shown. All other things doesn’t make sense.
Hi,
this was not the question. I know how to translate but I don’t know where UM get the information which language it should use/show!
Best regards
Hi Guys,
I’m sorry to crash your conversation, but I need exactly this procedure (email confirmation via link) and manual activation by the user (should be pending after activation via link). Your request sounds like this. Maybe you can help me. I would really appreciate that.
How can I set this up?
I thought it was only possible to use either method and continued my plugin search.
Best regards

In reply to: [Super Progressive Web Apps] Add to homescreen doesn’t appearI did as recommended but why should this change whether the question “add to home screen” appears or not?
Anyway, the message/question still doesn’t appear.
