In reply to: [Simple Client Dashboard] Errors after activating@hakonzen we were able to prioritize a quickfix. Could you please update to v2.1.7.11 and see if that resolves the error notices you’re seeing?

In reply to: [Simple Client Dashboard] Errors after activatingthanks for letting us know @hakonzen we will get a fix released next week
Hi @sarahwnyc some hosts block direct access to PHP inside wp-content/plugins/ (which is actually a good practice for security purposes). If GoDaddy allows you to add explicit paths to an allowlist, you’ll want to allow direct PHP execution under the path
wp-content/plugins/plugin-detective/troubleshoot/*but only some hosts allow this fine-grain control. If not, unfortunately there’s no way to run Plugin Detective on this site. We built it to run outside of WordPress so that it could safely run even if the site has a fatal error.
Please let us know if you have any other questions
Hi @sshahid12, the Gravity Forms field is part of our plus (and above) edition of Simply Schedule Appointments. We have some more details on the integration here: https://simplyscheduleappointments.com/integrations/gravity-forms/
Please let us know if you have any other questions!
@up_admin please open a new thread or contact us with more details about the issues on your site and we can take a look. If you can share a URL where this occurs, I can take a look to see if there are any errors in the browser console.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Interactive Image Map Plugin - Draw Attention] Site VulnerabilityThanks @baynem we’ve worked with the security team and released v2.0.15 which mitigates the security vulnerability (which only affects contributor-level users who could theoretically be tricked into clicking a link that imports Draw Attention images)
This is mostly resolved but we’re following up on one more best practice which will be released in v2.0.16 next week.
Thanks again for getting in touch,
Nathan@rklrkl there would be some security/reliability issues with changing the directory name as you describe. I’m afraid we’re likely stuck with the directory, but I will do some investigation on our side to see what’s possible.
In your case, it sounds like there’s some issue affecting the SSA updates in general and WP-CLI is just reflecting the same behavior that WP Admin is. I’d recommend manually updating with the zip file this once and see if it is something that just affects that 2.6.5.12 version. If you don’t have direct access to your client’s account, please email us and reference this thread. Our team can help you get it sorted out.
Thanks,
NathanHi @rklrkl thanks for getting in touch. This sounds frustrating, I’ll try to share some of our thinking and also possible approaches for improving the situation you’re in with updates.
We originally decided to keep the same plugin directory name so that users could easily upgrade/downgrade between editions without the directory name changing or having the risk of multiple editions installed alongside each other. We don’t have the free core + add-on model, so if you install SSA Plus, you shouldn’t have SSA Free installed. Also, if a user upgrades from SSA Plus to SSA Pro, an in-dashboard update has to keep the same plugin directory, otherwise the plugin will be deactivated after update.
Bottom line, we aren’t able to change the directory name now (for any reason), because doing so would disable the plugin for all users after an update. For example, if we did as you proposed and changed simply-schedule-appointments to simply-schedule-appointments-plus, the next time someone updated, the directory would change to simply-schedule-appointments-plus *but* WP doesn’t have that slug in the list of active plugins so it would be deactivated. So unfortunately, whether our thinking was right or wrong 5 years ago (there’s plenty I would change given a time machine), we can’t change it now 🙁
All that said, SSA paid editions *should* be compatible with wp-cli updates as long as a valid license key is active. We are supposed to be handling paid support off of these forums, so please email us support@ssaplugin.com and we can continue looking into that with you (since it sounds like it isn’t happening as expected)
Thanks,
NathanHi @jpgoem it sounds like you’ll want to adjust your appointment type settings from “available blocks” (the default, which allows any start time) to “start times” (which allows you to specify that appointments start at 8am, 9:30am, etc)
We have a screenshot of that start times setting in this guide:
Note: it doesn’t sound like you need everything from the rest of that guide but just wanted to send you a screenshot of what the settings look like
Please let us know if you have any questions!
Nathan
@itspaul we hope to have a fix released next week. In the meantime, you could try going to SSA > Settings > Developer and disabling the new booking app temporarily. If that resolves the issue, you could certainly launch that way and switch back to our newer booking app after the fix is released.
Thanks,
Nathan
Hi @medhan thanks for the detailed screenshots. We will investigate the duplicate queries, although all the queries combined would be less than 0.3 seconds, so it’s likely unrelated to the overall issue you’re seeing. I see that you have messaged our team and have several threads going, so I’ll continue on the other thread rather than posting both places. Overall, I suspect there’s another issue or error message that we’re not seeing. The spinner is going in circles, but I expect there’s an actual PHP or javascript error and it’s not actually “still loading”. I’ll follow up with more as I find it
Hi there, could you share what SSA settings you have enabled? and what settings you have on the appointment type?
The first time you load availability, it may take a couple seconds (not 10) but after that it should load from our cache very quickly.
We’ve not had other reports of this issue and I’ve not seen it take 10 seconds to load unless the server/site is slow in general. If you can provide a link to a test environment that’s also slow, I’m happy to take a closer look!
Hi @bilion, absolutely! We have a feature to set the minimum notice required. We have some details and screenshots here:
https://ssappts.com/guides/appointment-type-settings/#scheduling-options
under the “Notice Required” section
Please let us know if you have any other questions

In reply to: [Plugin Detective - Troubleshooting Conflicts] Useless pluginThanks for the feedback, this is a plugin to help with troubleshooting and couldn’t realistically solve all problems for you.
Not all issues can even be detected automatically so we leave time for the user to evaluate and decide if the site is working after each change.
WP’s built-in Health Check is also a useful troubleshooting tool, but it only lets you disable plugins one at a time, whereas Plugin Detective will automatically try different sets of plugins to help you quickly narrow down the potential cause.
