Let’s refresh this question and information for many others. I am an avid WordPress user and designer that enjoys the functions contained within the basic Jetpack module. However, recently on more than one site that I manage, we’ve been LOSING images to browser hell, do to your codes mysterious prepending of /iX.wp.com X = 0,1,2,3 to my clients and my own images.
Bottom, line is while I use your module for convenience to support activities like carousel, post forwarding to subscribers, etc. I don’t recall until recently ever seeing these random code inserts. It is creating havoc for my business, and that of my clients. So short of disabling Jetpack and finding another plug-in(s) to do the job. How does one disable these “spam” (unauthorized or requested) insertions that break links and can cause blacklistings?

In reply to: Twenty Fourteen Width Breakdownokay, I took the easy way out because divs can be a pain in the @$$, so I got a lil’ lazy. However the real problem is that the display on IOS devices is so severely limited. These devices have their own tech to scale full sites, why are we cheating them when they choose full site?
So you’re right, I don’t want it fixed but lopping off 35% of usable, viewable space is crazy…

In reply to: Twenty Fourteen Width BreakdownMy issue is I’m creating a site http://www.fishinginmaui.com, it work well on a pc/mac, but not on the IOS devices (tablets). My basic problem is the theme responds with only 60% width, which kills my header info (branding). I’d like to increase this parameter to give the 100% width as most media devices now have the ability to scale as needed.
My second problem is the ain menu across the top disappears behind the 3 line button, which does nothing when viewed in landscape fashion, only if you turn the iPad upwards (back to portrait) will it work.

In reply to: Twenty Fourteen Width BreakdownWow originally posted two weeks ago, and no answers???
This doesn’t leave much hope that I can get a question answered in a short timeframe…
Great question by the way Tank, I’d very much like to know the answer as well.
[ Moderator note: Title fixed, don’t substitute space for “+” like that. ]

In reply to: IE trashing a couple pages in a siteNo, WP Likes was a widget or plug-in type install, not part of the theme.

In reply to: IE trashing a couple pages in a siteWhat is happening, it seems is that my styles are not being accessed, so the background falls apart. I’m running an Elegant Themes Chameleon theme with a child… It’s the same set-up as a sister site http://www.scotchmistsailingcharters.com
IE doesn’t trash Scotch Mist, but does tear up Aerial… So I’m baffled on what might be cuasing it, although I did initially install the WP Likes, but decided against it. Unfortunately, It doesn’t seem to uninstall, near as easy as it installed. Is this my issue, if so how do I kill the WP Likes? I want to do it anyway…Thanks again,
Lance

That was it, I spent too many hours chasing my brain around looking for an answer…
Again many thanks! Oh and I’m using custom CSS… Have only briefly looked at child themes, maybe on one of the 4 sites I have stacked, I’ll get there…
