In reply to: Deleted sample page, now nothing thereI got around this problem on susequent WP site uploads by creating a new page first, then deleting the sample page & post. This left some existing content on the site to facilitate log in and dashboard access. I then de-activated the meta, widgets & search etc. and created my main homepage. Then deleted the temporary content page (that showed the default meta / search /archives etc.

There are no plug-ins installed and it is on 2012. The only actions I have done in the life of this site is to log in once, select ‘pages’ and delete the sample page, that’s when everything disappeared.
As per the manual install instructions I downloaded WP then renamed the folder then uploaded it with Ftp. It is named wp under coventryfishmonger on my server. I then redirected http://www.coventryfishmonger to point to /coventryfishmonger/wp
This worked o.k. and this system did work last night for another domain name:
http://www.grimsbybarbers.co.uk/wp/ which works fine.
If I can find the default WP sample page in the main downloaded 3.5.1 folder I attempt to reolad it onto the site.
If there are any other steps I can take then please let me know.
