Ok I found the solution via Yoast.

I did not want to risk doing this. So I de-activated NextGen and started again. It seemed to have done the trick.

This problem only appeared after I upgraded to the Pro version!

I should add that they seem to have disappeared off my home page but when the blog post is placed in archived category the author, date and tags still appear.

I “unchecked” the two options and it still appears. 🙁

Thank you! The good news is that it can be done. The bad news is that it is so technical and I am not technical. Aaargh!

Is there an easy plug in which does all the hard work ( I say this hopefully!)
