In reply to: [Plugin: WP Super Cache] advanced-cache.php – Permission deniedI downloaded WP-Super Cache 0.6.7 today in the hope that it would solve the “de-installation” problem with “advanced-cache.php” and it does.
put briefly: reinstall the plugin in the latest version, activate and enable in the settings menu. then follow the read me to deactivate and COMPLETELY deinstall all files.
I would declare this problem as solved.
Thanks to the Author for addressing this problem.

In reply to: [Plugin: WP Super Cache] advanced-cache.php – Permission deniedI have the same issue and to be honest feel that this issue is being trivialised by the Author. after a 30 minute @0,14 euro/min support call to my host I now have to submit a written request to have the file removed. All in all the (valuable working) time spent trying to remove wp-super-cache = over 1 hour + phone call and postage this all amounts to around 100 Euros to remove a possible security hole in my blog. This leads me to question the Integrity of a plugin that causes irreversable changes at a ROOT level of my webserver.

In reply to: NextGEN Gallery Plugin – Cannot Import ImagesThe htaccess addition u are using is wrong:
it should look like this:
AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
AddHandler x-mapp-php5 .phpThe memory limit set by your provider affects the max size of images that the GD can handle php 5 certainly solved my problems and now NGG is working perfectly…

In reply to: Annoying plugin warning@otto: I had all plugins updated after doing an upgrade to 2.6, that was why i posted because I had no update messages in the manage plug-ins panel…
I have just resolved the problem… I reinstalled clean versions of all plugins and the stupid red flag dissapeared =)
I don´t know if this had anything to do with it but i had edited the css for the NGG 0.98 plug-in.
whatever it´s gone now and i can sleep again *g*
