• It’s a little thing but it really irks me. I wish I could upload the image but I can’t, so here it is:
A number “1” keeps appearing on the plugin section of Admin and it won’t go away. I tried disabling all the plugins and then enabling them again. Made no difference.

    Any ideas?

  • Have you tried updating any outdated plugins? That 1 simply means that one of your plugins is outdated.

I know how you feel i have exactly the same problem… I have tried deactivating all plug ins but that annoying little red flag is still there. i have checked all templates for plug in “hacks” and have removed via ftp all deactivated plug ins/themes and so on and still i have a stupid red flag…

The red flag means that your plugins need to be updated. The number is how many of them need an update.

To make it go away, update your plugins.

Note that WordPress only checks for plugin updates at most once every 12 hours. So if you remove plugins and the red flag sticks around, wait half a day.

@otto: I had all plugins updated after doing an upgrade to 2.6, that was why i posted because I had no update messages in the manage plug-ins panel…

I have just resolved the problem… I reinstalled clean versions of all plugins and the stupid red flag dissapeared =)

I don´t know if this had anything to do with it but i had edited the css for the NGG 0.98 plug-in.

whatever it´s gone now and i can sleep again *g*
