i was able to solve my problem. Dreamweaver messed up some pathing when i accidently hit update after renaming the directory the wordpress bog lived in from wordpress to blog. Then dreamweaver asks to update and i said yes, which i should have said no. When i re-uploaded a fresh new set of files everything worked fine 🙂
