That seemed like the most logical cause of the problem. Thanks for working on this. I’m still cutting my teeth on the FB side of things.
I’m also having this problem, both on my test machine and on a production server. With the “Adjust events times in hours” set at the default “7” on the production server, an event scheduled for Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 7:00pm shows up in the widget for December 31, 1969 at 5:33 pm – 5:00 pm.
From the code, it looks like the start and end time comes straight out of the FB query result. Even with the offset math I can’t figure out how it could be *that* different unless Graph is reporting incorrectly.
Reinstalling the plugin showed no change and all of the WP Post dates are normal. Really wishing FB would let Pages export events like we can from regular profiles …
