In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Slimstat is very slow on WPML siteI’m closing this ticket, as we updated our code on Github with an improved function that serializes server requests to optimize server load. It will be released here on the WP repo sometime next week.

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Slim Stats Ajax Error fills LogHi @inndesign,
I’m not sure what else could I have provided to make you feel like this solution was more helpful. The link to our knowledge base is very detailed and allows you to repair the database and have Slimstat up and running in a matter of minutes. However, you’re more than welcome to try other plugins: see if they offer the same kind of functionality available in Slimstat and let us know π
Sincerely,

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Admin AjaxHi @fmh2016
Please note that the Ajax request, needed to track your user activity (since you’re caching your website), is asynchronous and will be executed AFTER most of your web page has been rendered by the browser. So, the time your tools are measuring is not most probably affecting the actual load time. Unless you have other code that is moving the Slimstat tracker to the HEAD section of your page (unlikely). You can also tweak the settings (see Maintenance tab) to increase your db performance, even though that will require 30% more db space.
Please let me know if this answers your concerns.

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Good plugin but…Hi @merthod, are you available to get in touch with our support team to take a look at your issue? Otherwise I must think you just wanted to give us a negative rating for other reasons other than genuinely take care of the problem you’re experiencing. We work really hard (and mostly free of charge) to support our work, and I feel it’s quite unfair to get a negative review based on an unsubstantiated claim of some error without giving us a chance to assist.

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Slimstat is very slow on WPML siteTerrific! I will look into changing the async behavior to load reports sequentially instead of concurrently. Thank you for your help figuring this out! I will leave this thread unresolved for now, and I will let you know when that’s implemented.
Please consider writing a review for Slimstat as a token of appreciation for the support you received. It would be a nice way to say thank you and to let people know how much you value this plugin:

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Slimstat is very slow on WPML siteThank you for experimenting with this. It’s really helpful information. I can definitely look into the countdown timer not working with autorefresh, it must be a bug. As for the performance issue, it feels like the security plugin is detecting too many requests in a short period of time (which is caused by the concurrent ajax requests initiated by the various reports) and it slows them down. Maybe it makes sense to stagger requests over a few seconds, so that they don’t happen all at once. I can definitely look into implementing that. In the meanwhile, does it work better if you disable Async mode?

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Slimstat is very slow on WPML site@armbreaker could you setup a clone of your live sites just for yourself? In that case even if you don’t have a valid license, WPML should work anyway, no?

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Measure time on a page for logged users@mhanu70 I’m not an expert in GDPR regulations (so much to learn!), but my overall understanding is that as long as they are informed that a COOKIE is being setup on their machine, then the ping should not require any extra warnings on your end. But again, you may want to ask an expert (and maybe report back so that others in the same situations know how to proceed).

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Slimstat is very slow on WPML siteIt could be that WPML is causing the problem. Would you be able to test WPML on the other site to see if it causes the same issue?

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Slimstat is very slow on WPML siteThis configuration looks fine to me, more than enough to handle the kind of load that Slimstat adds to the system to record page views and other information. Are they both hosted on the same provider?

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Measure time on a page for logged usersUnfortunately, being HTTP a stateless protocol, thereβs no way to track when that happens. If you want better accuracy, we have a Slimstat add-on that implements a partial workaround to this problem:
