@collegespun I’ve tested your site and the video seems to display fine for me.
I have an even better approach for you, which you should use instead of the first one:
<div class="cookieconsent-optout-marketing"> Please <a href="javascript:Cookiebot.renew()">accept marketing-cookies</a> to watch this video. </div> <div id="Brid_26634489" class="brid" style="width:480;height:270;" itemprop="video" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/VideoObject"> </div> <script type="text/plain" data-cookieconsent="marketing"> Cookiebot.getScript("//services.brid.tv/player/build/brid.min.js", true, function() { $bp("Brid_26634489", { "id": "12652", "width": "480", "height": "270", "video": "227601" }); }) </script>Test site: http://cookiebotdemo.azurewebsites.net/brid-tv-player/
I’ll get back to you on your second question tomorrow.
@mhayek83 sorry for the slow response.
Playing around with this specific plugin requires some time, and we are very busy at the moment.
We’ll get back to you as soon as possible and thanks for your understanding.
Please get a free quote once your “images” are redirecting to real image files, as described in the mentioned articles.
You can order the quote here; https://www.cookiebot.com/en/quote-input/
It will contain a text file with the URLs that we found on your site.
Also, have a look at; According to WordPress I have less than 100 pages on my website. Why does your scanner say that I have more than 100?

@enzim if you’ve tagged up the script with
type="text/plain" data-cookieconsent="statistics"Then __utma and __utmb are not being set by this script, because the script is not executed at all, prior to clicking OK/Accept on the banner.
Go to the report at https://manager.cookiebot.com/en/reports – most likely it can tell you where in the code these cookies are coming from.
Moreover, if you are using a plugin for rendering GA, then our Github repository may be of interest to you; http://github.com/cybotas/cookiebotaddons
If you are using GADWP, then they are in the process of creating an Addon with Cookiebot support.

Hi @papgeo,
Thanks for reaching out!
If you use a cookie consent banner with checkboxes, make sure that the marketing category is not pre-ticked.
Please read Is it GDPR compliant to have all 4 checkboxes in the banner pre-ticked? for more information.
For those that have had the marketing-checkbox pre-checked, we have an option in our Manager to Renew existing user consents.
Here’s a checklist of what you need to do to comply with the GDPR;
Ready for 25 May 2018 (GDPR enforcement date)? A Cookiebot checklist.
Hi @almadama,
Do you use a plugin for the Google Maps widget? If so, which plugin do you use?
Hi @doebankdesigns,
Thanks for reaching out.
If you are talking about images in your media library, then WordPress by default creates real pages for these, which is why they are included in the count. These pages are called “Attachment pages” and can contain online trackers.
Cookiebot does not count image files.
This is how you can disable attachment pages in WordPress:
https://themeskills.com/disable-media-attachment-pages-wordpress/ or https://www.wpexplorer.com/disable-image-page/
That will surely decrease your count. If not, please provide your domain name either here or through our helpdesk, and we’ll have a look.
Category and tags pages are counted too, because they are real pages.
You’re welcome, and thanks for using Cookiebot!
Hi @mastersg
A page is a page, and an image is an image. Cookiebot does not include image files in it’s page count. If you believe that we have included images and not pages in the page count, then kindly provide us with your domain name, so that we can verify.
Wordpress creates Attachment pages for items inserted to the media library.
This may be what is happening to you. See this post for a solution: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/translation-scanning/#post-10295317
Thank you for your patience as well.
I believe disabling attachment pages will fix the issue, as they are now redirected (301) to the actual file. A scan of your site now says 111 pages.
You can order a free quote for here: https://www.cookiebot.com/en/quote-input/
The quote will contain an attachment with all pages that we’ve found. Please check to see if you agree. If the page count is correct, let us know so we can spread the word.
We do not count pictures, icons or any files.
You WordPress theme may be creating seperate pages for these things.
It seems that some users have mistaken what a page and a picture is.
Please see our answer (at the bottom);

Hi @collegespun,
Thanks for reaching out!
The Brid Movie Player embed code consists of three parts.
#1. The script tag to get the movie player
#2. A <div> that holds the movie player
#3. An inline function that initializes the movie playerThe problem is when the user accepts marketing cookies, #3 is called before #1 has retrieved the movie player.
Here is a workaround for you;
<script type="text/plain" data-cookieconsent="marketing" src="//services.brid.tv/player/build/brid.min.js"></script> <div id="Brid_26634489" class="brid" style="width:480;height:270;" itemprop="video" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/VideoObject"> </div> <script type="text/plain" data-cookieconsent="marketing"> function waitForElement() { if (typeof $bp !== "undefined") { $bp("Brid_26634489", { "id": "12652", "width": "480", "height": "270", "video": "227601" }); } else { setTimeout(waitForElement, 1000); } } waitForElement(); </script>What it does is to wait one second and check if #1 has loaded the Brid Movie Player script. If it is not loaded, then it tries again after 1 second. You can play around with the 1000 value if you want it to check more frequently.
Hope this helps.

@bernardzijlstra you are right. Youtube videos (and any other cookie-setting videos) should be withheld from loading before the user has given consent to marketing cookies.
See our guide on how to mark up youtube videos with the iframe approach:
If you paste a youtube URL directly into WordPress, then WordPress will render it as an iframe, however you wont be able to see that in the editor.
We are working on an Addon for the Cookiebot plugin (https://github.com/CybotAS/CookiebotAddons), which is able to re-render the oEmedded URLs so that they place play nicely along with Cookiebot. I’ll let you know in here when it is ready.
I’ve checked your scan report, and it seems to be correct.
Lets take https://kreanilla.hu/20-ingyenes-foto-lelohely-a-weboldaladhoz/ as an example.
This is not a full list, but we have scanned some of these pages, which you may believe are images. In fact, they are real pages with unique URLs, and are able to set cookies and online trackers.

- https://kreanilla.hu/20-ingyenes-foto-lelohely-a-weboldaladhoz/14-ingyenes-fotok-pickupimage-2/
The actual images that you are referring to are not counted by Cookiebot. Their unique links are:
- https://kreanilla.hu/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/10-ingyenes-fotok-bigfoto.jpg
- https://kreanilla.hu/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/11-ingyenes-fotok-littlevisuals1.jpg

- https://kreanilla.hu/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/14-ingyenes-fotok-pickupimage1.jpg
If you choose to continue having individual pages for all of your images, then you may likely get a high count page.

Hi @florence18
1) There is no settings tab within the plug-in – all I can see is 3 tabs labelled Deactivate, Edit and Translate. Am I looking in the wrong part of my WP CMS?
You have to create a user and use our Manager to configure your banner. The settings tab is within the Manager. https://manage.cookiebot.com/
2) Where do I find my Cookiebot ID? I have a paid-for account but can’t see anything within described as my Cookiebot ID.
You can find your Cookiebot ID in the Manager. See this image;
