    Wow, it’s really easy to make a copy, then delete the bottom half in one table, and the top of the other.

    While I was asking you, I snapped that I should try copying.

    Thank you so much for this GREAT tool.

    Hi Brandon,
    Right away it say that my jetpack can’t communicate properly or my site can’t. I have a brain injury and don’t remember all the words in their order.

    It gave me an option to look for known conflicts. I have W3, which is one of them…

    So, is there nothing I can do?

    I didn’t do the Contact Support button, because I thought the answer was that there isn’t anything to do.

    Is there???

    I appreciate your help. Thank you!

    Are you still there, Brandon?

    I would really like this to work, and at present it doesn’t. For instance I cannot get the statistics to show on my home page.

    Why is that? What can I do to correct so that they do show?

    Hi Brandon,
    Thanks for getting back to me.

    Yes, it’s turned on.

    It appears on some pages, but not all.

    I’ve cleared all caches… computer, W3, I even called my service provider, Qwest, and they cleared their cache.

    Jet Pack stats fail to appear on each of my four sites… for a significant number of pages.

    Did you test with a site with several pages???

    Hi Josiahmann,

    Wow, thank you. I didn’t think to look in the Text view. After your suggestion, I did. Sure enough. I removed it.

    I can’t see the change, but I think that has to do with the cacheing thing.

    Thank YOU very much.

    Happiness, CrouchingBruin ~~

    Using the things you taught me early on, and with the help of iPage’s new WPEssential, I’ve got a lot more things under control…. or, maybe I mean Better Understood.

    The techs are saying my pages load quickly, 1.3 seconds, for instance, but that I keep getting the warning messages because my site doesn’t comply with best programming practices.

    That makes sense.

    Also, the caching time is apparently around 10 hours, so in a bit I can check and see if the tests are still showing that I don’t have dimensions on my header image, when in fact I put in the code the way you showed it, not the style approach, the other one.

    Without everything you taught me about Montezuma CSS and files, early on, I would not have been able to achieve the results which… it looks like… are in existence.

    Thank you!!!!!

    Okay… the grade results are the same. How long do the caching things last… I didn’t undo what W3 did, so there are caches… in several places…

    Except your way of writing it seems to have taken two seconds off the load time… without changing the grades…

    I’ve got to say, I do NOT understand. two seconds off is almost half… so why are the grades the same?

    And, why is it two seconds faster when the message about no dimensions on my header image remains the same…

    My backticks aren’t working… You can faintly see them in my first post… I’ve tried again using that code, but still not working.

    I can’t get the code from my site right now because iPage is down…

    Thread Starter considerthis1

    (@considerthis1)

    Okay… Sounds good.

    I wondered why the back ticks I used didn’t work… the backtick is the thing under the wavy line, right. Was I also supposed to choose “code” from the options above…?

    So it can be in a straight line, rather than on separate lines???

    <div id=”banner-bg” class=”cf”>
    <div id=”banner” class=”row”>
    <img id=”headerImage” src=”http://health-boundaries.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/NowBetterTEXTScaled.jpg&#8221;
    width: 950px;
    height: 169px;

    />

    </div> ‘`

    I’m trying it with “code” from the tabs above…

    Thanks, Esmi ~~~

    The thing is I think i tried again, I thought I’d done the questions wrong because I’d forgotten to put in a link to my site…

    So, there may be a duplicate post.

    I asked a question about Montezuma and the header image dimensions… but the topic was closed almost immediately… Sigh. I included what I added to the Header CSS… but… Closed. Sigh.

    WP Essential is Dynamite.

    One of the speed tests talks about how images should have dimensions… all my images have dimensions, but it still keeps saying they should have dimensions, and since it apparently doesn’t see my image dimensions, it keeps giving me an F.

    The tech was as baffled by that as me, which made me feel a lot less stupid … We both laughed and moved on to CDN.

    Happiness…. HAPPINESS!!!!

    I can use Amazon Cloud, whatever it is, for free because my site is small, but I can’t understand Amazon’s pages of instructions. I think this WPEssential will be a great help, b/c the fellow I just spoke to said they could help me fill in the blanks to use it…

    Whew…

    🙂

    I’m convinced you have magical powers, CrouchingBruin.

    iPage sent an email today about WPEssential, which… lol… is offering 60% page speed improvement. 60 seems to be the number of choice for this kind of advertisement.

    It apparently uses a faster server… offers help with plugins… mentioning W3… and offers special WP tech support.

    So, I figured that was as close to the Occult Book of Page Speed as I was going to get, at least in the near future, and I ordered it.

    If I worked on my website with the same enthusiasm my goldfish put into tearing up the plants I plant for them in their aquarium, I bet I wouldn’t even need an occult book on the black art of page speed.

    In any case, I’m once again… Hopeful.

    W3 was really nice. I haven’t had a chance to check everything hourly, but the fact that there was a bad plugin makes me wonder if that was a part of the problem with the speed.

    I’m going to have to redo my W3 page.

    I’ve learned so much with this… I just hope I can translate it into a much faster loading site.

    Thank you for your magical-looking wall-scaling crouching tiger type help. 🙂

    The W3 expert was really helpful. The problem was not W3, but a Free Photo Thing… once disabled the problem went away.

    using GTMetrix I get a completely different score… Headache!!!

    What does this mean (from GTMetrix) … Does it mean that all of them should have one “Vary: Accept-Encoding” header, for them as a group? or each of them should have that????

    The following publicly cacheable, compressible resources should have a “Vary: Accept-Encoding” header:

    I gather that my other Big Problem is images ~~ I keep compressing my images and the tests keep saying I should compress them… only GTMetrix says:

    Specify image dimensions…The following image(s) are missing width and/or height attributes. ~~~ (Does that mean that if I choose images that ill fir on a mobile screen and put those dimensions in, that my site will load faster on all devices?)

    [ No bumping please. ]
