Thank you for explaining how to see whether the snippet is inserted.

First it said snippet not inserted. But then it changed to this:

`An existing Analytics tag was found on your site with the ID UA-3519240-2. If later on you decide to replace this tag, Site Kit can place the new tag for you. Make sure you remove the old tag first.

    Account

    Property
    UA-3519240-2

    View
    77840081

You can make changes to this view (e.g. exclude URL query parameters) in Google Analytics
    Analytics Code Snippet
Inserted by another plugin or theme

    Excluded from Analytics
    Logged-in users`

I have no idea what any of that means. In terms of snalytics, I have had a plug in for a long time that provides for tracking analytics….

But does analytics have anything to do with the Adsense code?

I have a diminishing number of visitors. So I think this plugin increased visitors for a brief day or two, just like when my old google study group amp pages would increase visitors… only then, I feel, you guys put in some sort of kybosh.

re the lightening bolt, I originally got an iphone precisely so I could see the bolt and make sure my site was good on mobile.

Re your analytics response… I’m not tech oriented. I don’t ever see those black pages. I’m unclear why site kit isn’t working. AMP for WP was much easier, and the techs were super helpful. Only Google refused to accept my millisecond loading pages as worthy of the lightening bolt, so… no traffic.

    I’m using site kit.
    at?
If it’s supposed to put the code in, why isn’t it showing for you?

Your previous comment was related to my misworded post. It is my AMP pages that are so slow. Why is that?

I use site kit. That’s where Pagespeed shows my amp pages as 14 times slower than my desktop pages.

In one more day it will be a week with amp pages without Adsense.

    Of course … FOR YEARS.

    It’s utterly Depressing.

It takes a week? I have no trust in Google at this point. I paid hundreds of dollars to make my site load in a few milliseconds, and Google refused to give me the lightening bold and my earnings dropped to pennies a day. But, that’s all right, I’m 76… poverty is my just dessert for living a corruption free life.

Since I can’t get any Adsense to SHOW on my mobile amp site, and I didn’t like that the vignette ads completely cover my desktop pages, I opted out of Auto.

The above is that the first sentence of this topic was supposed to say.

It makes me so anxious that Google has taken my twenty years of website work/history, that had more than 13million views, and trashed it to the bottom of search results that I can’t type well, and I don’t see my errors. My brain injury has less effect on what I do when I’m not anxious.

Thank you. Yes, primer works a treat. πŸ™‚

But, there was something wrong with some technical thing in some file that hosting has access to and understands. I likely have access, but I don’t understand.

I was going to mark this as resolved, but maybe you already did. πŸ™‚

I waited days, and no ads appeared.

I since decided I do NOT want auto ads because of those vignette things.

Where did you check my site re auto ads? I spent over an hour yesterday trying to find a place that specified auto ads after I disabled them in my Adsense panel. I couldn’t find any place to specify re my amp pages.

    Help?

    Hi James,
Thanks. I just used the pagespeed data. According to pagespeed my amp site using this plugin, is 14 times slower than my desktop.

And still, 5/5/21, no Adsense on my amp pages, whereas they are on my FAST desktop pages.

    So depressing re AMP.

    Hi Aleksander,

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I’m so sorry to have bothered you, I should have marked my question as resolved.

    Thank you again,

I wrote the question wrong. Sorry. My Desktop pages are 14 times FASTER than AMP…

    Thread Starter considerthis1

    (@considerthis1)

Sure, but my desktop pages are FAST.

My AMP pages, using this plugin are S L O W.

All the things you mention are the same, except for this plugin for the mobile pages.

So why is this plugin making my mobile pages so slow?????ES

No, in terms of ads, I’m not sure why you think my site is using auto ads. I was, but when no ads were on my mobile pages, and those horrific vignette ads were obscuring my desktop pages, I disabled Auto.

I tried 50 wordpress themes, and had InMotion Hosting restore my site late yesterday after one of the themes deleted content. The tech said there was something odd with a bit of my site and said he would fix it. Since then, the menus work in all the themes I’ve tried.

    (@considerthis1)

Hi, I had InMotion Hosting restore an old version of my site since one of the themes I tried deleted a lot of things.

So the link no longer shows what was wrong.

It looked like the color on the cropping image. The cropping image never let me crop. I tried 4 different images, and it just never seemed active.

The other thing I wonder about is making the mobile menu icon white, or a much lighter color…?

    (@considerthis1)

I can’t get the amp menu to work in mobile in several themes that I’ve tried. Its the amp menu icon… and inactive

    Sigh…

I have now tried 17 themes, and in none of them does the Amp menu work… I’m pretty distressed…
