CrouchingBruin ~ for sure you have Super Human powers. “go smoothly” Why of course, I thought. Which of course tempted fate.
The techs at A2 have mechanical keyboards, which are really loud. I could not focus.
In the end I kept hearing your remark, “For what it’s worth, your site seems to draw very quickly now. Your pages come up almost instantly.”
That’s what I’ve wanted for years, so… I’m staying with InMotion. 🙂
Thank you. 🙂
As an aside my “bounce rate” has decreased dramatically and I have more visitors. Thank you, thank you!!!!
Hi CrouchingBruin 🙂
Yes, I’m sure you’re right. The thing is, with my brain injury I make a lot of mistakes. And, I often don’t see them. Also, I often can’t remember where I am in a process…
Though, I’ve been eating Swiss cheese which has holes because of a particular bacteria, which makes carbon dioxide and B12. Some of my immediate memory is returning. It’s quite amazing after not having anything like that for years.
Thank you for the Well and Smoothly Wishes. 🙂
Hi CrouchingBruin,
Thank you so much for offering me some re-assurance by your presence. It’s surprising to me that InMotion has great reviews on hosting type sites, but on YELP, quite the opposite.I’m moving to A2 Hosting. Way less costly, and they can use the links iPage gave me to my backups. That will get past the InMotion corrupted files, or whatever it was that weirded out my sites.
Thank you again for leveling out the Worry Factor.
🙂

I wonder if what happened to my sites relates to the fact the InMotion West Coast server went down at about the same time my sites were transferring to Cloudflare… I don’t understand how they were fine, and then… Not.
I don’t think I’m going to sleep tonight. It took me two years to get my website where it was. One year trying to make mobile work on Yahoo, and a year switching pages to WordPress… and now, each page has to be corrected. There are small errors throughout the pages, not to mention the big errors.
Sigh.
I paid $49 to have InMotion’s service transfer my sites.
The tech manager guy just called to say he found a copy of Montezuma and installed it, and that it was working. I was so happy.
But after he hung up I tried to go to different pages and none are on the server, per the message.
I think the pages you see are in the Cloudflare cache… because I can’t get any beyond the home page to show up…
So he undid what ever did that, and now it’s back to the big error message.
No. In the end he was able to get the site to show up, but each page appeared blank and you had to refresh in order to get it to show up.
I wonder if this will work. It keeps switching me from this page when I try to post.
I want to tell you that I got a different InMotion tech who seems to be fixing it. Happiness!
I wanted to let you know so you could have FUN tonight, rather than looking at code. 🙂
Karen
Thanks. a LOT.
For most of my sites I have only 1 theme, Montezuma. and it won’t let me add another.
No, the errors weren’t there in 2013
That wasn’t there before, of course.
When I was going to use my backup a warning said I shouldn’t b/c there was excessive white space added.
All of my sites have a capital A with a tilde sort of thing over it throughout the text.
There’s on this page, ShowingA lines and moons
Is that familiar to you at all?
Do you have any idea what this refers to?
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/healt411/public_html/health-boundaries/wp-content/themes/montezuma/includes/admin.php on line 794
InMotion just told me to talk to my developer…. that tends to be the death knell
Yes, I can go back but then the error message comes back.
I get your point, though
