I’m glad the favicon is showing up on your browser. Oddly, it still isn’t showing on mine or at the http://www.consensualtentacle.com/blog/wp-content/themes/elements-of-seo/images/favicon.ico URL. Hmmm.

Ok. I’ve made sure that the favicon was uploaded into elements of seo’s image folder, and it still does not work with the header’s original coding.

I’ve fiddled around with it and every time I change it to refer back to the favicon in the root folder, the favicon disappears entirely. So, I’m doing something wrong.

This is the original code (excluding the asterisks of course) :

    <*link rel=”Shortcut Icon” href=”<?php echo get_settings(‘home’); ?>/wp-content/themes/elements-of-seo/images/favicon.ico” type=”image/x-icon” /*>

How should I modify it properly?

Inserting blog/favicon.ico didn’t do, neither did inserting the URL of the favicon’s location. Thanks for all your help and patience, I really do appreciate it as I’m still quite new at all this.

Oddly, the favicon has been in the root folder for a few weeks (I’m sorry that I forgot to mention that on the initial post). Thanks for your input though, I do appreciate it. Any other thoughts?

The blog was having an internal server error earlier and seems to thankfully have corrected itself when I wasn’t looking. It seems to be up and running now if you’d like to take a look.

I also installed it in the root folder of the blog – no go.
