right ok. I did a sensible thing and did a backup of the sql data, and then restored the old 2.0.3 over the top. It now works for the most part.

As for custom, only custom as in the sense the design is based off of red china and modified to suit the purpose, by the designer, not me.

All the plugins are disabled.

The only problem as far as data seems to be :

The categories give this error (sql statement)

Also my links have disappeared.

I suspect this is to do with the fact that the code is 2.0.3. So I think now I need to update to latest release as the core db tables seem to have changed.

So how do I do this, step by step idiot style?
