In reply to: [Download Manager] Stop CSS loading google fonts with @import URLIt will not override your theme fonts, however if you want to remove, it need to edit front.css directly, and need to keep a back of the file as next update may overwrite it. However, there we used a very light weight font which will not affect load time.

Sorry, probably I was not very clear in my explanation, you don’t have to go though any file, if a file was password protected earlier, it still will be password protected, you only need to update the file if you want to remove password now from a protected file, and you certainly will have to update the file again to remove password, even if you don’t update the plugin.

In last update we have improved code base and using namespace, which require php v5.3.0+ ( http://php.net/manual/en/language.namespaces.rationale.php ), may you please update your server php version, however if that is not possible, you can get back the previous version from here https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/download-manager.2.8.3.zip .
FYI, PHP version 5.4 will never show such an error, please contact your server/hosting support.

Formerly password protected files still will be protected, even it lock option unchecked, we had to keep it in that way to avoid the conflict with old data, but if you want to remove password protection, check the option, clear password, then uncheck and update.
