In reply to: p2 Ajax updates for all visitors@isamisam, I don’t understand how to use the patch. I did try to delete the code in p2.js, but that didn’t actually change anything for me. So I’m going to try the patch.
Do upload the patch to my p2/inc folder?
Where do I put the code:
$ cd site.com/public/wp-content/themes/p2/inc/
$ patch < p2.diff p2.jsI presume the first line of code should be altered to reflect the correct path?

Apparently, ALL plugins needed to be deactivated before upgrade. My host told me that it was an obvious, clear warning for this particular upgrade, but I did not see that prompt at all, and never had one in other upgrades. So I restored my site back to 2.7, then went into admin and deactivated all of the plugins, then did the auto upgrade (through SimpleScripts, the WP auto would not work). This worked perfectly. I then activated each plugin, checking the site after every single one, just to make sure there were no compatibility issues, and everything is working perfectly again.
So, deactivation of all plugins in the key (or at least it was in this case.)

In reply to: Upgrade disappeared my site (500 Error)Okay, I’ve finally reverted back to WP 2.7 and then did a manual upgrade (don’t worry, I was careful) because the auto (through WP or SimpleScripts) were just not working. Now I have access to my admin, but my site is getting the 503 error.
@theproftw, could that still be an htaccess issue?

I have only recently built my site, but I’ve seen Disqus all over the place, hence my interest in installing it. However, I feel like I am missing some of the neat features that other plugins can do to the default comment system, which do include threading and other features of interest to you.
I am not helping much, but I do love Disqus so far, though I have to admit I am still exploring.
