In reply to: [Super Page Cache] Problem after update to 5.0.0Sorry I have just gone back to edit it again and I am still getting the text appear, so I may have jumped the gun when I said it was this plugin. I do not understand this because it comes and goes each time I rollback or update on my local machine but not on my live site. If I disable completly I do not get the problem, I think the coming and going was a browser cache problem.

Thank you, I will look for something else.

In reply to: Hiding username (reopened)Thank you, my concern was that it opened my site to more targeted attacks if they knew the real username.
I have opened a whatever at core.trac.wordpress.org as I think I am not the only one that should be worried about this issue.
I have installed disable author archives which does hide it but I am aware of the need to not rely on too many plugins.
Thanks again for your help.

In reply to: Hiding username (reopened)I have had the website for several years, I get notified if someone tried to login without the right password or username and they get blocked. I have just started getting notifed that they are using my real admin username and it is only since I put a post on a month ago. It seems to me the posts should be listed under the displayname.

In reply to: Hiding username (reopened)Yes I mean the bottom left corner, so what is the point of having a nickname and display name, if everyone can see the username ?

In reply to: Hiding usernameWhen you hover over the link it shows where the the link goes to at the bottom of the browser, I have started getting people trying to login using the username, when they get blocked it blocks my username as well.

In reply to: [Advanced Ads – Ad Manager & AdSense] Problem with Core web vitalsHi Henning,
Thanks, I use cloudflare which I hoped would sort out some of the caching issues, I have been looking at the astra theme, which is almost working out of the box, so I think I will investigate it some more and change to that.
Thanks again for all your help

In reply to: [Advanced Ads – Ad Manager & AdSense] Problem with Core web vitalsHi,
I have now excluded all areas on the front page for ads, I have disabled your ads plugin as well as others that may be slowing startup down such as gdpr and it has not changed the cls for mobile. As I said there is not a problem for the desktop. I am running the twentytwelve theme, could that be the problem, it is a responsive theme but is it too old ?

In reply to: [Advanced Ads – Ad Manager & AdSense] Problem with Core web vitalsIf I look in adsense under ads / by sites then if I click on edit (the pencil) for my site it shows where my ads would be placed (there is an icon to change from mobile to desktop view) The ad below the menu and above the heading picture does not show up, only the ones further down, so I am not sure why they show up on my site.

In reply to: [Advanced Ads – Ad Manager & AdSense] Problem with Core web vitalsI think the problem comes from the advert that appears after the menu and before the header picture. I cannot see how to stop that one from appearing. The strange thing is that it is the same for desktop but only the mobile is upsetting google.
the website is wateratairports.com

In reply to: [Inline Image Upload for BBPress] Media upload not workingThe problem has been found, I had http blocked, I removed “http” from my list of “Disallowed comment keys” in /wp-admin/options-discussion.php and it now works.
