Solved my problem. The wp-config file pointed to the old database, not the database for the new server.
One additional important point: the folder for repderricksmith.com was actually in repderricksmith.com/wordpress but I changed it so that the site url is the root, repderricksmith.com (wordpress url is repderricksmith.com/wordpress).
