My guess is that I set it up wrong to begin with, since I already had content on the pages it wouldn’t let me change the way they worked. So I deleted everything, all pages, posts, everything and started over making sure that when I started with just the home page I set it to static, then added a blog page and set that for posts, then added a few other pages. Only after that did I add content to the home (static) page, and now it seems to work like I wanted, but new posts only get put on the blog page, even clicking on category “dog” or “cat” won’t put that on it’s perspective page.

Anyone know of a WordPress theme that makes things as easy as just clicking and dragging content to where you want it to be?

it seems like a lot to figure out, and I’m working on it. Not sure if I’ve got something set up wrong, it’s not as easy as going to settings>reading panel and selecting Front Page to display a static page.
The pages I see on my site are: ‘Home’ ‘Dogs’ ‘Cats’ ‘Horses”
But when I go to Admin Dashboard and click on pages, it only shows dogs, cats, horses. Home isn’t listed as a page. Also in Settings>Reading when I set front page as static I have to select a page to show, only dogs cats and horses are options.
Do I need to delete all content on Home page or my site and start from scratch?
