My issue has been resolved and it wasn’t the fault of the plugin but rather, my host. They disabled a specific line of code that this plugin requires to work. They simply re-enabled it for me and I was back in business.
Me too getting the same error messages. I can install from a zip file upload but cannot install any from the library.

Okay with a little more research I was able to find the plug in I needed to solve this problem.
It is called User Role Editor and it is EXACTLY what I needed.
Hopefully this will help someone else who has the same issues.
