In reply to: Log OutWell, log-out is log-out which, when I posted the above message, did not show under “Howdy” and username. However, after receiving your reply, it did show and now I am logged-out!!! What happened previously so that I could not log-out I do not know! But, I did understand the process prior to posting my message but had difficulty so I posted a request for help.

In reply to: How to make a page the front pageOk, I now have read it. On the page I want to use as “Front Page” I went to “Settings/Reading” and selected “Home” as Front Page, updated it and viewed the page.
However, when I viewed the page, the content was not there – only a blank area, but when I returned to Dashboard and to the Home page, the content was there!
I tried to find Publish again but only found Update.
How can I get the content to display?
Thanks for your continued help and suggestions.

In reply to: Removing entries on home pageThanks for your response. I discovered I was creating a post rather than a page, trashed it, and began over with success.

I am not being updated. Always at the top is a bar with the message “WordPress 3.6 is available! Please update now.”
I seem to be in a loop without being updated.
