In reply to: wp-includes folder Fatal ErrorI would download a fresh copy of WP to your computer, and then delete and replace the
wp-includesdirectory on your server. You can use an FTP client (like FileZilla), or your web-host’s cPanel or file manager to do this. File manager is easiest if this is new to you.

In reply to: images on my homepage seem to have a dark layer over themI would start by disabling plugins, especially full-screen background image, and some of the sliders. My guess would be the fsbi since most of the window is affected. Check the settings for that particular plugin.
If you don’t find anything there, you might try asking about this on the support forum for the theme.

In reply to: Subscribe2 changing default email digest subjectI would be very reluctant to use code from a three-year-old thread in a current installation. Also I don’t see that plugin in the repository any more. We aren’t able to help much with plugins that aren’t there.
You might want to check what’s going on with its development at subscribe2 dot wordpress dot com. If there’s no clue there on how to proceed, you may want to find something else to take its place.

In reply to: Spammy URL popupsI’m very sorry to say your site seems to have been compromised in some way:

(Please note that the link above is not a recommendation for their service, just one way to check on your site.)You’ll need to start by looking over the info on the page below and going through the cleanup process step by step. Take your time and be very thorough so you don’t miss anything. If you do miss something, you could be right back where you are now after lots of work.
This page has lots of information for you, and links to lots more. Best of luck!

In reply to: WordPress.org vs Self-HostedDid you not see my response to you here?:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-self-hosted-vs-org?replies=2I think you mean you had a .COM site. No one has a site on .ORG since .org hosts no sites; you have a self-hosted site. .COM sites enjoy the interconnected network of WP.com blogs which self-hosted sites are not a part of. Please see the above thread for more.
EDIT: @macmanx is too quick for me 😉

In reply to: Tesserect 2 Footer.php BrokenVisit tyler dot com and download a fresh copy of the theme. Then you can either compare footer.php with your copy and fix it, or just replace it with the new one.
And always make changes to a child theme because updates to the theme will overwrite any changes you make to the parent theme.

In reply to: Fatal Error Message. I can't log into admin side of website.I would suggest performing a manual update, since you don’t have a functioning installation at this point. If you were updating from a fairly recent version to 4.3.1, you can follow these detailed instructions:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress#Manual_Update
Take your time and go step by step. Make sure you have backups of all files and your database before starting. Good luck!Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Site won't load‘Reload from the front end’ just means reloading the page in your browser. Before doing that, clear your browser cache and cookies.
While you’re waiting for a response on the WP support forum for the plugin, you might also try the contact link at openmenu dot com and see if you can get somewhere that way.

In reply to: Cannot Login to DashboardIf you can’t access your admin pages, you’ll need to use an FTP client (like FileZilla), or your host’s cpanel (or File Manager) and navigate to the files on the server.
In your WP installation there, find
wp-content/plugins/popupmaker(if that is the plugin) and rename that plugin’s folder to something likepopupmaker-hold. That will disable it and hopefully allow you to get back into WP admin. Then visit the plugin’s support forum and ask about this problem there. Maybe they have an update for you.

In reply to: Fatal Error Message – Cannot Login To My Site As AdminI don’t have much for you on this, but I have seen a couple other similar threads which were resolved by merely clearing browser cookies or using another browser. Could it be?
