Update:

So the break seems to be happening on FireFox but it looks fine on Chrome.

Figured this would be some valuable information for whoever comes to the rescue!

I’m having this exact same issue and I also have a static home page. Whenever I change the SEO title in the Yoast WordPress SEO settings.. the snippet changes my website from:

http://mywebsite.com/

to

http://mywebsite.com/whatever-seo-title-I-entered/

If this is only an error with the snippet preview then I’m not concerned. But if it shows up in the search engines, then this is bad news. Hopefully it’s just a bug!

This all happened after the 1.6.1 plugin update. Hopefully you guys can find a solution! 😀

I’ve contacted Yoast support about this. Will let everyone know if I find a solution as well!
