i have home page set to latest posts and sidebar chosen in the options. this works great.however, i am wondering if i can have the home page point to a Page with a sidebar template…and have a full sized slider on this page that will then show both the full sized slider and sidebar on the homepage.
i tried this second scenario earlier, but i then had a homepage with a slider above a sidebar.
thanks for any advice!

Anyone know if there is there a way to reduce the amount of space between the slider and the footer content (my social media icons)?
