Ok….but how are you counting these hits? I find it hard to believe that Google would be incorrect in that a page would have zero pageviews for two years and then suddenly 2 days after I create the redirect, it has 700 hits. Is it the page that’s being redirected that the hits are counting for, or the page that it is being redirected to that the hits are counting for?
