Thanks for that – removing the Gallery 2 random image code allows the page to display correctly in Internet Explorer.

    Now to find out why!

This is weird. Using Safari, the Pages, Archives, Categories and Meta sections all show a bad image placeholder at the start of every line. The two RSS icons display properly. In Firefox it all looks fine.

Could it be anything to do with the “invalid XHTML and CSS” line at the bottom of the page?

Still can’t get it to display properly – anybody see the reason why the bottom of my sidebar shows bad image icon?

Thanks for that, but I still can’t get the page to display properly. I couldn’t find ‘<img alt=”http:’ anywhere but I changed two references of ‘<img alt’ to ‘<img src’ in the sidebar file but the bad image icons are still there. Should I be making the changes in another file?
Incidentally, the default theme seems to display the sidebar correctly…

Is there now a solution to this question? I’d like to be able to get users to login before they can access most areas of my site.
