Thanks for the advice. I tried that and it doesn’t work. I wonder if upgrading to a more recent version would make a difference. This is frustrating because I don’t see how I can register people to use the blog.
Sorry to be ignorant, but how do I find out which version of WP I’m running? I don’t see it listed anywhere obvious.
I have no ‘Settings’ tab. I have an Options tab, and then a General tab but the only option there is a checkbox “Users must be registered and logged in to comment.”
Can you help me with this? I do exactly as you say, but there is no “Anyone can register” checkbox under options, general. I can’t find it anywhere.
