I’m thinking of abandoning the ngg slideshow as can’t seem to fix it.Perhaps a flickr slideshow would be ok there?
I’ve been using suffusion for the past couple of months and agree that is in an excellent theme, better than a lot of premium themes.
Never seen a theme with such in-depth customization at the back end through the control panel – really impressive!

Sounds like a localisation issue with your theme
correction… I am also using 1.6.2
so may be your server’s configuration.
So for now perhaps you could backup manually by downloading the directory you want to back up and dumping the database to your computer until someone can answer your question better.

NexGen Version – 1.6.2I tried loading the slideshow in various positions and had the same problem.
I’m using wordpress 3.0.1, nextgen 1.2 and wordpress database backup 2.2.2. all working fine together

I also use the “wordpress database backup” plugin and nextgen. I had the same experience as you, with the white screen etc.
In fact I found that my problem was not from the database backup plugin, but because I had changed something in nggshow php file so that the title would not show in the slideshow.
Probably you didn’t do this, but if by chance you followed the same instructions posted on another forum (I forget which) to hide the title, then those instructions were incorrect. If this is the case let me know, it can be fixed.
