Belay my last. I had to dig into the “Atahualpa” settings and change the entries in the “Body Title Single Pages” and “Body Title Multi Post Pages” fields to my desired title.

I forgot to mention that I am using the “default” Permalink settings. A glance at the source code page of blog leads me to believe that that is part of the problem.
