Sure – I see where you’re coming from on the UX perspective. We’re really using this in the ‘auto generate’ mode which should work with the password situation as described. I think if auto-generate is disabled we can look at popping a notice on the edit page post save if there’s no MD file in place and the user has set that post to have one.

Right – well caught. This was in the instance where ‘auto-generation’ wasn’t set up in the plugin which we didn’t have a integration test running (now sorted). Checked manually – with auto-generate of posts disabled the MD file is now removed on status change from published to draft, post deletion/trash and when a password is added. It will need to be manually recreated after republish.

    Please try 1.4.3

We haven’t wanted to do a cron job to avoid self DDOS on bigger sites – there’s a button to generate all posts for a content type in the admin screen, and a notice if you update settings to make that necessary, but as posts can be set to auto-regenerate on save etc we felt that would cover most use cases.

    Hi!

We’ve released 1.4.2 yesterday which fixes the first issue – password protected and draft pages (anything not published) won’t be run through the generator at all.

For exclusion, we’ve chosen to do a per content approach using a simple meta checkbox on the edit page itself

Hope that works – let us know if you have any further issues!
