Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Dashboard not workingI apologise for whatever I have done wrong, but as I had not received any communication for a few days I assumed that no one was trying to help me.
Somehow, probably in the process of adding a discussion forum plug in my site went live. It is the smallest of sites with no users or content yet, and I did not mean to publish it yet. When I suddenly realised it was live I went to back it up and that was when I found I could not get to my Dashboard. Previously when it was not published I had felt that it was so basic that I (as the only person that could see it) could almost recreate it in a matter of a few minutes anyway.
So no, there is no back up available.
Once again I am sorry for any inconvenience caused.

In reply to: Dashboard not workingHi, anyone!! I remain in despair, I would love to follow the advice “Go to your wp-config.php file, and locate and replace this define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false) with define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true), and let us know have you seen any error or notice.” I can’t find that file anywhere, in fact I can’t find a folder or anything else that refers to either “wp” or “wordpress” anywhere on my Mac.
I appreciate I am hopeless, but I got into this to help a charity, and it’s all going horribly wrong.

In reply to: Dashboard not workingI activated a Discussion Plug In, it created 3 pages and in fact thats all that is on the site apart from a Home Page and Contact Page.
Sorry, but where do I find the wp-config.php file? I have searched all my files and find nothing.
