In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] Old contact form being spammedIs this spam coming from an actual form or is it being emailed to you directly? Or is it possible that there’s another plugin that is generating a contact form via a different shortcode?
FWIW, there’s nothing in our logs to indicate that the form submissions are being sent to Akismet to be checked, so if you can find the form itself, you may need to enable spam-checking on it. (https://docs.gravityforms.com/akismet-anti-spam/)

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] Overpriced Garbage, Poor SupportI’m sorry you had issues with our support. The last interaction I can see that you were involved in looks like it was resolved, so maybe a followup email didn’t get routed to us properly.
If it’s still possible for us to address your issue, can you email us at support@akismet.com?
Thanks for the heads-up; I’ve fixed these missing domains in changeset https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/2708660 which will be included in the next release.
This is the core WordPress comment flood prevention; it’s not a part of Akismet. It means that comment flood protection is enabled and you are commenting more frequently than the default minimum time between comments.
If it’s happening even when you’re not posting frequently, then the site is likely doing something unusual with commenting, like attributing all comments to a single user account/email address, or setting a very long minimum time between comments.

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] stop spam blog post submissionsIt could, but it would be dependent on the plugin that accepts the blog post submissions integrating with our API.

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] Use by clubsIf the club is a non-commercial venture, then Akismet is free to use.
Akismet doesn’t do anything with the login form; does the issue persist even if you disable the Akismet plugin?

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] WP5.9, Enfold, CF7 and Akismet errorI was able to get a copy of the latest version of Enfold, and when using the latest versions of WordPress, Akismet, and Contact Form 7, I didn’t encounter any errors when filling out the form.
Can you email a screenshot of the contact form template and a screenshot of the error you see after submitting it to support@akismet.com?

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] WP5.9, Enfold, CF7 and Akismet errorI don’t have access to either of those themes; what error message are you seeing? If it’s generic, are you able to view your error log to get the specific error?

In reply to: [Akismet Anti-spam: Spam Protection] View email blocking resultsWhen Akismet reports that it has blocked 39,000 comments in the last five days, that actually includes all spam, whether it was comments or contact form submissions.
If you install the Flamingo plugin for Contact Form 7, you’ll be able to see what Akismet blocks as spam in your WordPress dashboard (from this point on), just like you can see what comments have been blocked as spam by going to the Spam folder.

Thanks for confirming.
I’ve committed a fix for this in https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/2655942/akismet/trunk Would you be willing to install the trunk version of Akismet from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/akismet.zip to verify that the fix works for you?
Yes, I’ve tested Akismet with PHP 8 and found no issues.
Yes, Akismet is compatible with PHP 7.4
Can you post the URL of a page where I can see this happening? Or if you don’t want it to be public, could you email it to support@akismet.com?
