Well most of the plugins do all the work for you, and all you do is enclose the “spoiler” text within these brackets: [spoiler][/spoiler]

I think that doesn’t work in the sidebar because its a “visual editor” feature. So then I switched to the plugin that lets you use these tags instead: <spoiler></spoiler> but this didn’t work in the sidebar either.

I haven’t been able to find any solutions when I do a Google search that are self-contained, everything seems to relate to a specific application like WordPress, Blogger or BB forums.

Just to be clear, I’m going to have to load the code into the sidebar.php file itself, and not just in a widget, although the tests I’ve been running have been in the widget.
