In reply to: [Eazyest Gallery] Orient images based on exifNope. I don’t have it installed…and I’m on a shared host, so I don’t think I have much control over the extensions. Since I’m not using this right now, I think won’t try to get my host company to install it (yet).
Since I can’t verify the fix myself, feel free to close this topic when you’re happy with it.
Thanks again for your help.

In reply to: [Eazyest Gallery] Orient images based on exifHi Marcel —
I deactivated the old plugin, moved it’s directory out of my document root, unzipped the
“Development Version” from the developer’s link, then activated it. in the dashboard, it appears as “Version 0.2.0-alpha-323”.I also made a new directory with my orientation images and the visited Eazyest Gallery / All Images page on my dashboard. A while later it said it had found four new images.
Unfortunately, they’re not rotated. I’ll email you a URL for a tar ball with the example images I’m using.

In reply to: [Eazyest Gallery] Orient images based on exifOk. I realized I can see the trac browser for the source code,
and for this change in particular, so I’m pretty sure the code
is hosted on wordpress, not github, but i’m still not seeing
instructions to get the latest code (svn, http, etc…)http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/695131
thanks,

In reply to: [Eazyest Gallery] Orient images based on exifHi Marcel —
I went to test with the development version and realized I don’t know
where to get it from. I’m new to WordPress and, so far, I’ve just been
upgrading as you publish new versions. I looked a several of the about
pages and home pages for the plugin and I don’t see instructions for
getting the development version. I’m probably just being blind.
Is it on github or something? Thanks for the pointer.ttfn,

In reply to: [Eazyest Gallery] Orient images based on exifThanks. I saw your checkin this morning and smiled. 🙂
I’ll have to give it a try.btw. I have mostly switched away from wordpress and this plugin in
favor of a more full-featured forum, since i’ve realized I really
need more of a discussion area, not just the cool galleries.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Eazyest Gallery] Orient images based on exifThanks for the guidance, Marcel. 🙂
I’ve subscribed the dev log. 🙂
thanks again for making a cool plugin. 🙂

In reply to: [Eazyest Gallery] Orient images based on exifCool!
You seem to be very active on this project, which is awesome. 🙂
How do you think abut 0.2? I’m not intending to pressure you;
I’m just curious so I can decide what to do. Is 0.2 next week?
Next month? 6 months? 🙂thanks,

In reply to: [Eazyest Gallery] Orient images based on exifWhile it might be a good generic feature to handle rotated images, I’ve found a simple way to rotate in my upload script, so that I can fix the images before eazygallery sees them.
i got a copy of jhead — http://www.sentex.net/~mwandel/jhead/
