Re t-p: wp-content/uploads is my designated destination for uploads. I just don’t know how to find this file from the dashboard
Re michael: The process that you describe for uploading and inserting files is the one that I typically use and was quite surprised that my cut/paste approach with images worked at all.

In reply to: Where are my images?If I type in my url with /wp-content/uploads/ I’m told that I don’t have permission to access /wp-content/uploads/. If I use my ftp program to view files on the server I see /wp-content/uploads/ but I don’t see those pasted images — just the ones that are in the media library. Can I get to /wp-content/uploads via the dashboard?
