I am wondering when you are planning to release version 2.85 and fix this issue? Thanks!

How about giving us the option to exclude pieces of content based on a tag or a custom field rather than a category? This would then be applicable to both posts and pages.

I am also encountering this problem intermittently. Like you, if I deactivate the plugin the problem goes away.
Incidentally even when you get the error messages you can upload images using the browser uploader rather than the multi-file uploader.
Did you manage to find the solution or have you stopped using the plugin?
