You can make the usual css changes in the theme-frontpage.php editor. I needed to make the same types of changes and was able to do so there!
Just wanted to thank you, Alain, for the code to remove the site title! It was the one glitch I couldn’t resolve and I appreciate finding the answer here so easily.
