Thanks James, I followed the directions – renamed the plugins directory etc etc. worked a treat most appreciated.

It was the Extreme SEO that did it, when I went to activate it I was booted out of me admin panel. Luckily I still had filezilla running, quickly deleted the folder alls well so far.

Activating one plugin at a time…I will leave this open till I’m finished and present my findings….viva la wordpress (chuckle)
