In reply to: Issue with backend images, multiple themesWow, one of my themes (classifiedtheme by sitemile.com) the feature image section is completely gone on 4.1 from 4.0.1
No big deal bc it doesn’t really show a picture on that page.
Other than that I don’t see any other of the before said errors on the new install at least.
When I get my version of my site downloaded soon I will try to do the update and see if this is still reoccurring and will update you with that in 1-2 weeks
Thanks man!

In reply to: Networks not showing up in new wordpress, clean installI dont see network–>sites?
I reinstalled..I used my email address and it worked and I see it now, but with the other addresses I don’t see it.
I am on WP 4.0.1 now with my live site and I see all my sites with different email addresses for each. The all in the network dropdown menu, show with dropout menus for the sites, but not in 4.1

In reply to: Solution for multisite? or a problem? That’s where I’m trying to go, just trying to resolve a few issues first. Sorry for the other posting, I was trying to organize for multisite developers because I thought some issues were tied together
Thanks
Theme?
Any word to this? I haven’t even got mine working yet! (just beginning to try)

In reply to: Solution for multisite? or a problem?I’m pretty sure since I have 4 sites and their setup runs on a minimal of 16, the customer service representatives don’t seem to realize I will be adding sites.
They didn’t even try to try, they just tried to sell me a backup program stating that’s what I was asking for..
WMPUDev is obviously some gvt owned POS company. I’ve had bad customer service before, but not the worst like this.
Read the article on their page stating this worked perfectly for me….customer service reps state I’m basically stupid and that a backup program is what I’m asking for……..
WMPU-dev is probably about to fail as a company. Horrible structuring to support at least

In reply to: Solution for multisite? or a problem?I just checked and I didn’t….according to them, since I only have 4 sites to begin with, this would not work for me…even though I can create 4096 DBs altogether….according to the links above you gave me, the one says I need this plugin, but the developer says I don’t need it???
Crazy world lol

In reply to: Solution for multisite? or a problem?I actually read these and come to the conclusion I needed Multi-DB but when I contacted the wmpudev team they seemed more in advertising a different plugin to me and offering me all their plugins as well….Hopefully I can get my questions answered though 😛

In reply to: Allow user sub-site creation after registeringthat website brings me to a domain for sale…
I understand multisite and have a site setup myself, but there are still errors in it, mainly the user-system/profile info going to all sites. I like the idea of logging into all sites under the restrictions but simply the profile info spreading is too much for me to do with errors…users cannot upload avatars to all sites, profile description same for all sites.
I’ve used it a little myself but what I’m saying is you want a user to sign up and have a site generated in their name automatically as their wished folder/subdomain….just seems very hard to do…you will have to find something that automates wordpress installs in a script, and do so upon activation…maybe check how the “add site” works and find out how to build a function to add in a text field and add a sitename, with main user email as their email?

In reply to: Solution for multisite? or a problem?I know the basics, I repair PC’s and stuff…but I don’t know any real code or structuring so only can replace the pass/server/login info no problem, but after that I get confused 😛

In reply to: Allow user sub-site creation after registeringSounds like you need a CPanel install that includes Softaculous installs with it to install WP for your users. It’s not a subsite creation within your site, but it seems like you’re asking to have your work cut out for you lol
If you are going to allow users to setup sites, maybe set them up yourselF (basic details) and maybe charge for the service?
You have to be careful with people running their own sites on your multisite database. Anyone could mess up your database and all your sites crash
