Thanks. So if we only customize the CSS using the custom editor that comes with some themes, then when we update the theme to a newer version, we don’t need to worry about possibly losing the customizations?

    James,

    Thank you for the information.
So if I understand this correctly, the backup process involves 2 steps – using my hosting server’s tools to perform the database backup. Then in terms of the WordPress files, these I will have to copy them off of the server and say onto my local drive, using FTP.

Does that sound just about right?

    Thanks again

If I use wordpress.com and don’t want to use any of their premium themes, can I go to woothemes to purchase one and use it on wordpress.com?

    Thanks contentiskey,

What about the trade offs and/or options here when comparing using wordpress.com and purchasing an upgrade for eCommerce, or purchasing an eCommerce based wordpress theme externally, and using Godaddy’s hosting services?

When looking at the wordpress.com premium themes, they seem to only be geared towards blogs. I wonder If i look at themeforest or templatemonster, If i would find wordpress themes specifically designed for eCommerce and eCommerce only?
