Hi ancawonka and thank you for your reply.

I tried deactivating all the plugins and the problem is still there. It does not affect the muenu links.

I suspect it may be related to the fact that I have installed WP in a subdirectory because the URL that is being added at the beginning of the links is the root URL.

Any ideas?
