Has this been fixed on V2.1.8? No indication it has is the change log, nor any acknowledgement of the bug here.

I reloaded it as suggested and the problem appears resolved. As the version number was not changed I assume just reloading it was all that was needed.

I am hoping the developers will review this post and investigate, then release a fix.

Thanks, but this is not the solution. I am not seeing fatal errors and not using that theme.
The only symptom is that changing the setting does not stick. It is not theme related and all other plugins are deactivated.
The file causing the problem underwent a major rework from 2.1.5 to 6.
