Hello, I wondered if you could please help. I am new to WordPress and would like to edit my Brand Logo on my header.php file

I just added an image in my header file but I would like it to be to a better scale.
At current I have:
<?php theme_logo(); ?>
in the header.php file
Can you help me resize it and show me how to better position it?
