I started to investigate replacing the event plugin but now find that with the Event Plugin deactivated I still have the same problem of not being able to use globale settings and the watermark facility,

Thanks for Information, I was using Site Health. I disabled The Events Calendar and then was able to use Gallery Global Settings. I then enabled The Events Calendar and was the still able to to use Global settings.

If I then go to another similar post and repeat then come back to this post, then the gallery selection changes to that I slected for the second post. Checking the code on this page, the code is correct and not changed. Its as if a memory variable in a sub-routine is not being changed.

I have done further research with all plugins deactivated, I reset 5 posts to select the correct gallery. Checked them with a view in editing process. When I visited the site and selected a gallery, the gallery shown was that of the last edit.

I would like to know of progress on this issue.

I have about 20 galleries in one group called Members Images. Images are added after regular competitions. These images are selected from the competition folder. The intent being to delete the competition folder after about 3 years and thus delete those images in the members galleries. This worked except that in the Members gallery details of images remained but the image itself was deleted. Thus I was left needing to delete the details remaining. After opening gallery to edit and then selecting the blank images< I tried to bulk delete. The screen to confirm the deletion appeared and after selecting OK the screen followed the normal pattern. On returning to gallery to check I found no deletion had occurred. I tried this with only 1 selection and on various galleries.

I have resorted to deleting the images individually, this is tedious as I have to select gallery and gallery page for each deletion. Thus a task which should be completed in minutes now takes hours.

I have tried replacing and reinserting groups and when I view post the group selected is correct.

Then going through menu the group selected sometimes is incorrect. I have viewed code after an incorrect display and the group selected by code is different to the group displayed. Because the group name is only different by a single character , ‘the round number’ could this be the cause?
