OK no, I was looking at comments in the popup window and not comments in the permalink. the above code does not work. I looked at the default code and tried it, but it made the box and post cover the sidebar all the time. You would think the default code would be right. But I did notice it did not use the word style or width, so I modified it to:

<p><textarea name="comment" id="comment" cols="50%" rows="10" tabindex="4"></textarea></p>

and that worked fine.

That fixed it. Should I leave the rest of the code alone? or should I get rid of cols and rows?

I was looking at that tag,but I don’t know what to replace it with.

hmm. I removed the comment tags. what will this do? I havn’t noticed a problem.

I know what track back is, and it is working on the blog. What I want to know is what does this piece of code do in the index. It is not working at the moment because it is commented out. I am trying to figure out if there is any reason to activate it, or any reason not to activate it.

No pluggins except recent posts on right column.

It happened when copying from word into the post area of WP. evry single link was gone in numerous messages. Not messed up. plain old completely gone. I always compose in word run the spell and grammar checker then copy and paste to the blog and publish.
