When verifying that your WordPress installation is free of Javascript conflicts, be sure to also test your desktop theme by temporarily switching to a compatible theme such as TwentyThirteen. While rare, theme incompatibilities do occur.
In general, issues such as that described are the result of a Javascript conflict originating with a plugin that is preventing the WPtouch Pro mobile theme from loading completely. If the issue persists with all other plugins deactivated from the WordPress Plugins area and all cached files deleted from the server, then testing the desktop theme is the next step.
The free version of WPtouch does not offer this feature. You may choose to replace the conflicting plugin with another or upgrade to WPtouch Pro which will allow you to attempt to disable the conflicting plugin within your mobile theme but leave your desktop theme intact.

Your mobile theme is expected to displya on that device. If you have caching software installed, it may be overriding the live site. You may configure your caching plugin and/or service not to cache mobile pages nor to serve cached pages when mobile devices are detected. To do so, enter the user agents found in the documentation link below to the “rejected user agents” areas in your caching plugin’s settings. Remember to clear your plugin, browser, and device caches before retesting.

In reply to: [WPtouch - Make your WordPress Website Mobile-Friendly] Short Codes showThanks for the review!
That shouldn’t be happening— can you post what the shortcodes are that you’re removing?
Did you post anything in support? Any reason why things are slow for you? WPtouch is up to 5x faster than the majority of responsive themes. Your review is not very kind, and doesn’t give us any constructive reason or feedback on how to improve the experience you’re having.

In reply to: [WPtouch - Make your WordPress Website Mobile-Friendly] page not displayingThat URL uses an iFrame as well as tables. While most of the layout elements involved appear to already use flexible dimensions, there are likely one or more that use fixed widths that are wider than the screen and are forcing the entire iFrame/table to overflow. Carefully check through each table container and row for any fixed widths.
By definition, fixed dimensions override any scaling capabilities of iOS or WPtouch Pro. Choose to use flexible dimensions whenever possible to allow page elements to resize for various mobile screen sizes. If you are unable to change these dimensions at their source, you may add custom styling to your mobile theme (via the Stats & Custom Code area of your WPtouch admin panel) to force flexible dimensions on those page elements.
Caching plugins operate independently of WPtouch & WPtouch Pro so in that regard, they are all compatible. They do, however, require setup to prevent them from blocking the mobile theme with content stored in the desktop theme (this is a very common occurrence). Once they are set up, they should reliably allow the desktop and mobile themes to display on the correct browsers.
Infinity Cache is available with the Agency/Multisite and Enterprise licenses only.

In reply to: [WPtouch - Make your WordPress Website Mobile-Friendly] Logo dimensionsUploaded logos are automatically resized. There are no specific recommended dimensions other than a horizontally oriented rectangular image resizes best.
If you have images that use other dimensions (such as a square), you can embed them in a transparent .png that meets the above dimensions so they will retain their appearance.
It sounds as if you have active caching software serving cached mobile pages that are blocking your live site and making it appear that the theme switch is not functioning.

Is it possible that on mobile devices a individual start page is shown instead of the naked one?
It is unclear what you’re asking here. Please try again so we may assist you.
I want that when WPTouch is choosen a static page will be displayed.
A mobile landing page can be set using Core Settings > General > Landing Page.
Is it possible to disable the Mobile/Desktop switch?
The theme switch may be hidden using Core Settings > General > Desktop / Mobile Switching > Show switch link in mobile view. This is an advanced setting so be sure to view your admin panel in advanced mode (set under Core Settings > General > Admin Mode.
Hello Phoebe. Issues with the menu are a good indication that there is an active Javascript conflict in your WordPress configuration.
To isolate which plugin(s) may be contributing to the trouble, deactivate all except WPtouch from within the WordPress Plugins area, clear your browser cache and local data then test.
If WPtouch functions well, you may then enable the rest of your plugins one at a time, repeating the process, until you can identify which is/are causing the problem.
If no plugins are contributing, test the desktop theme by temporarily activating a compatible theme such as TwentyThirteen.
You may choose to replace the conflicting plugin with another or upgrade to WPtouch Pro which has a feature that will allow you to disable the conflicting plugin within your mobile theme but leave your desktop theme intact.
