Will try the htaccess route. Used to be a frontpage website – so there’s lot’s of htaccess files laying around. Will have to learn some more about this so I don’t goonmy site.

I am now on my own server in my basement – so “uninstalling” Frontpage Extensions is not an option.

While I am at it though – can someone tell me about the “order” in htaccess…

I have seen
deny,allow
deny all
allow all

and vice versa.

Can you have
deny all
allow all
deny 255.255.255.255

I guess I am asking for basics of the rules with regards to htaccess files. If not an explanation here – then a link to a good primer.
