Thanks esmi for continuing to respond and help. I know I am likely making a simple topic over-complicated, but I really want to understand how this works.
I understand my fonts are controlled by the theme’s CSS. What I’m struggling to understand though is if my CSS states a font size is 110%, are all fonts capable of scaling or will it choose the next closest fixed font size.

For instance, if the default font is Arial 12px and I desire to scale it to 110%, will it scale to 13.2px (110% exactly) or will it scale to the closest fixed font size is in its library of sizes. Not finding 13.2px as an available size, and then choosing 13px or 14px as the closest size.

I would like to use fonts that really scale instead of those that use the closest font size.

Again- really appreciate your help with this. Dan

I’m not asking the correct question.

Are all fonts which are sourced from within WordPress scalable or are some fonts fixed sizes that jump? For instance, if scaling a font with percentages, will it choose the closest size from its library or will it scale the font to the designated percentage.

My goal is to use fonts that are scalable. I’m also looking at Google Fonts as a source. Is there something I should be looking at to ensure I choose fonts which scale smoothly instead of jumping to a closes size?

    Thanks again – Dan

I’m adding this using the text editor of wordpress when creating static pages. It seems to recognize the comments tag as the text is not displayed, it’s just that extra space that is driving me nuts.

Thanks very much. This looks really promising. I’m going to check this all out in detail tomorrow in the morning.

    Thanks WPyogi for responding.

I had been to the Getting_Started_with_WordPress, but feel like there is something basic I’m missing or doing wrong. I’m going to go back through it again.

I will also check out the wordpress.tv, lynda.com and YouTube. I have not problem paying $$$ for Lynda.

I’ve been working in sales and marketing for the past 20 years, but have a BS in Computer Engineering. It’s really ticking me off that I’m missing something and it’s not coming easier.

Again- I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. Thanks so much. Hopefully something will click soon.

    Anyone?
I feel like I’m missing something as everything I see online discusses how easy WordPress is. I could really use some helps and guidance here.
    Best – Dan
